Boston Dynamics robot dogs are currently undergoing testing in the Netherlands as part of drug lab raids

On its own, the robot can scan a room, create a map of the space, and identify potentially dangerous chemicals.
In preparation for drug lab raids, the Dutch police are conducting trials with an AI-powered robot dog developed by Boston Dynamics. According to the company’s website, this is stated.
Police personnel will be better protected from criminals, explosives, and chemical threats as a result of this change.

Spot, a robot created by Boston Dynamics, can discover potentially dangerous chemicals, create an area map, and conduct autonomous inspections of rooms. A 15 by 20 meter drug lab layout was explored and mapped by Spot in initial tests, and the robot successfully located and transferred hazardous substances into a specified container.

Laser scanning, thermal imaging, acoustic monitoring, and visual and thermal imaging are all possible thanks to Spot’s supplementary modules and cameras. Spot has the ability to move and lift objects up to 6.8 kg and pull objects up to 22.6 kg while carrying out tasks.
