In terms of the total number of Bitcoin ATMs, Australia is ranked third globally.

The Coin ATM Radar website reports that 2.7% of the world’s Bitcoin ATMs are live and operational in Australia right now. In urban areas across Australia, you can find 1,007 Bitcoin ATMs.

Curiously, this figure was relatively low in 2022 in Australia, but things have changed significantly since 2023. The country’s number of crypto-ATMs already exceeded that of Singapore, China, and Japan in the spring of 2023. If the current rate of Bitcoin ATM installations continues, experts predict that Australia will overtake the EU in this metric.

Data shows that 1,617 cryptocurrency ATMs, or 4.3% of the global total, are located in the European Union. With 31,170 devices installed—or 82.8% of the total number of crypto ATMs—the United States is now leading the rating. The second-place finisher was Canada, with 2,918 machines available for users to conduct cryptocurrency transactions.

El Salvador has 215 Bitcoin ATMs and Spain has 261 devices, both of which are quite a bit.
