Binance Bans HashKey Exchange Deposits and Withdrawals

The HashKey Exchange customer service department has announced that as of May 10, 2024, the exchange will stop accepting deposits from wallet addresses hosted on Binance. Additionally, withdrawals to Binance wallet addresses will be disabled as of May 17.

Wallet addresses that are not hosted by HashKey but are whitelisted will not be affected by the restrictions.

There should be restrictions on site modifications, the HashKey team said.

Shortly after the launch of its new global trading platform in Bermuda, which is targeted at international users and not serviced by subsidiary HashKey Hong Kong, the HashKey Group banned Binance transactions.

Rumor has it that HashKey Group’s upper management is trying to sidestep issues that could arise from working with Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange that has come under fire from the Hong Kong financial authority. Binance allegedly set up the local cryptocurrency exchange HKVAEX with the intention of evading the authorities’ prohibition on cryptocurrency services in this special administrative region of China, according to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
