The United Nations reports that only 0.3% of the world’s women are living in extreme poverty; this fact alone should be enough to convince anyone to pour an extra $360 billion into the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Over a hundred million women and girls might be rescued from poverty if the United Nations’ investment goals are accomplished. An increase of 20% in GDP per capita across all regions, the elimination of gender disparities in employment, and the creation of nearly 300 million jobs by 2035 are all possible if governments are prepared to prioritize education and family planning, fair and equitable wages, and expanded social benefits.
Initiatives, such as campaigns and programs aimed at women, demonstrate Bitget’s dedication to gender equality. The gender gap in blockchain startup fundraising for 2022 and 2023 was highlighted in a recent study on gender equality by the exchange’s research division. According to the data, female-led blockchain startups only received 6% of the total funding, while male-led startups accounted for 8%.
