Console support for Company of Heroes 3 will be discontinued by Relic.

Relic Entertainment, who wrote the Company of Heroes trilogy, and SEGA parted ways this spring. Instead of disbanding, the squad went their separate ways. Divorce from the publisher had an obvious impact on Relic’s capabilities; for example, the company declined to provide console support for Company of Heroes 3.

The creators announced the update on the official website for the show. The real-time strategy servers will remain online, but there will be no more updates for the console version.
Our studio has achieved independence, and we couldn’t be happier about it. In the years to come, the group will eagerly tackle these new obstacles and seize these new opportunities. But being self-reliant also means giving up some luxuries, which forces us to make tough choices. Among them is the fact that future updates for Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition will not be provided by us. Consistent server maintenance and, if required, correction of critical errors, will be carried out by the team. We felt this step was essential to assure future success for our studio in light of the new realities, but it was a very difficult decision to make. Fans of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X/S will never have to worry about losing access to CoH3 Console Edition.

There will be three patches for Company of Heroes 3 on PC this year: one in the fall, one in the beginning of winter, and one at the end of June. Numerous enhancements will be included in the summer update, such as:

An all-new battlefield for team battles of four.
Maps of the Italian campaign have been enhanced.
Advancements in electronics.
Later on, we will provide more information regarding the June update.
