With Crypto Industry Facing C-Suite Turnover Ripple’s CFO Resigns

Ripple Labs’ CFO, Kristina Campbell, has revealed her plans to leave the company. After handling the company’s financials during the fights with the SEC, she is now joining a healthcare firm.

“A big thank you to everyone at Ripple who made the last few years so memorable,” Campbell said on LinkedIn.

Campbell announced her departure in a LinkedIn post on October 9.

She joined Ripple in April 2021, just five months after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) began legal proceedings against the business, according to her LinkedIn page. She discussed her future in the medical field:

“My new position as Chief Financial Officer at Maven Clinic is really exciting for me. I have witnessed directly how technology can improve people’s lives throughout my career, and Maven is consistently demonstrating this at the cutting edge of the healthcare industry.”

Campbell did not give any details about why she was leaving the company, although her resignation came during a time of great success for Ripple.

The SEC sued Ripple and two of its executives in December 2020 for allegedly breaking security regulations.

The court, however, issued a split decision favoring the SEC and Ripple on July 13. The native coin of Ripple, XRP, was classified as a security for sales to institutions but not for regular investors.

At the moment of writing, XRP is worth approximately $0.49.
